In February, runners converge in Sedona to participate in the Sedona Marathon that runs through Arizona's scenic wonderland. Red Rock State Park

The Red Rock State Park is an open-sky theater of fabulous rock formations. Sprawled across 286 unspoiled acres, this popular park is the perfect starting point for hiking, picnicking, bird watching and photography. At an elevation of approximately 3,900 feet, the air is always invigorating. Enjoy the soothing sights and sounds of the natural creek threading the landscape, but please save the joy of swimming for the fish and animals who make this land their home. Slide Rock State Park

Slide Rock State Park contains a 43-acre working apple orchard as well as the popular Slide Rock, an area of slippery rock in the bed of Oak Creek that forms a refreshing natural water slide and swimming area at the park.   • A.B. Young Trail |  2.4 miles one way | Access is across the creek at Bootlegger Campground and a climb to the old road
  • Bear Mountain Trail | 2.5 Miles one way | Trailhead is located on FR 152C off Boynton Pass Road
